WORCESTER, MA — For the first time since 2019, the ice skating rink behind Worcester City Hall will be open to the public.

The Worcester Common Oval rink will be open for skating starting Saturday and continuing throughout winter. Adults and kids can rent skates on site, and there will be food during regular hours available from the Dogfather food truck.

The 12,000 square-foot rink will also host events throughout the season, beginning with "Chanukah On Ice" for the first night of the Jewish holiday on Sunday, and continuing with the city's Festival of Lights set for Dec. 3. The Harlem Globetrotters will also make an appearance at the rink in mid-December.
