Worcester Commuter Rail Riders Face Weekend Shuttle Bus Service

WORCESTER, MA — Commuters on the MBTA’s Framingham/Worcester Line should plan for service changes over two upcoming weekends this spring and summer.

The MBTA announced shuttle buses will replace train service between Grafton and Worcester on Saturday, May 16, through Sunday, May 17, and again on Saturday, June 6, through Sunday, June 7.

Officials said the temporary service changes are needed to accommodate track and infrastructure work along the corridor.

Passengers traveling to and from Worcester Union Station will instead board shuttle buses at Grafton Station during the affected weekends. Riders should expect longer travel times and are encouraged to plan ahead.

Regular commuter rail service will continue operating between South Station and Grafton during the construction periods.
