Testing sites across Massachusetts have been overwhelmed recently amid a flood of new coronavirus cases. The state reported over 20,000 new cases on Dec. 30, the highest daily number since the pandemic began. Worcester added over 1,800 cases in the week ending Dec. 30 alone.
The site will also be open from noon to 3 p.m. on Friday, but only to administer vaccines. The Worcester Public Library downtown branch will also hold a series of vaccination clinics on Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout January.
