WORCESTER, MA — A 52-year-old Dudley man was arrested in Connecticut on Friday and returned to Massachusetts to face charges for raping a teenager, the Worcester County District Attorney said. Jose Herrera was charged on Friday with four counts of child rape, two counts of indecent assault and battery on a person over 14, and one count of witness intimidation. According to prosecutors, the sexual assaults of the teen took place four years ago in Dudley.A Worcester County prosecutor asked that Herrera be held on $100,000 bail, but a judge set the bail at $10,000. Herrera's next court date is May 5, and he will have to wear a monitoring device if he makes bail.
