Worcester County Sees String Of $1 Million Lotto Wins
Since the beginning of November, six people have won $1 million prizes in Worcester County, including one man who hit the jackpot twice.

WORCESTER, MA — November was an especially lucky month in Worcester County.
Between Nov. 8 and Nov. 29, six Worcester County residents won $1 million prizes in state lottery games, according to the Massachusetts State Lottery Commission.
The run of jackpots began on Nov. 8 when Manjula Patel of Whitinsville won $1 million in a lotto second chance drawing. Patel's losing $30 “Supreme Millions” instant game was one of 1.5 million in the drawing. The same day, the lottery commission announced that Lorinda Kennedy of Brookfield won $1 million prize in a separate second chance drawing.

On Nov. 12, Patricia Wright of Fitchburg won $1 million on a “$1,000,000 Money Game” scratcher, which she bought at Chelmsford Gas & Market located in Chelmsford. Ten days later, David Ferrara of Clinton won $1 million on the “$2,000,000 50X Cashword” instant game. He bought the ticket at Cumberland Farms, 2 Cameron St., in Clinton.
On Nov. 29, an unidentified Worcester man won $1 million, his second time winning that amount, according to the lottery commission. Rounding out the month, Geraldine Simonovitch, of Spencer, won the jackpot on a “$1,000,000 Players Club” instant game. The grandmother of five bought her ticket at Crossroads Marketplace, 1060 Main St., Leicester.
