Worcester Three-Alarm Fire Burns Through Multi-Family Home
The roof and top floor of the multi-family home were ravaged by the blaze.
WORCESTER, MA — Worcester fire crews responded to a fire at a multi-family home on Birch Street at 1:19 p.m. on Thursday. According to Millbury Fire Department, people may have been trapped inside the house.
Smoke spewed from the roof as crews worked from ladders in 80 degree heat. Flames could be seen shooting out of the third floor windows. The fire was classified as three-alarms.
The Massachusetts Red Cross tweeted that the Worcester County Disaster Assistance Team is helping families who were displaced.

Worcester EMS crews warned residents to avoid the area.
The Telegram reported there were no injures in the fire but one cat did die and a dog was still missing.
