Worcester Declares Winter Parking Ban Ahead Of Snow

The Declared Winter Parking Ban will be in effect Tuesday, January 29 starting at 8 p.m.

WORCESTER, MA- Heavy snow and ice is predicted for the area in the coming days and Worcester is being proactive by declaring a parking ban.

The city announced that the Commissioner of Public Works and Parks has determined a Declared Winter Parking Ban will be in effect Tuesday, January 29 at 8 p.m.

During the Declared Winter Parking Ban, there is no parking on either side of main arteries, bus routes, and streets in the downtown area. On all other streets, parking is only permitted on the odd numbered side of the street, unless otherwise posted.

In an effort to improve the safety of roadways, the city announced parking enforcement—including ticketing and towing—will be active during the Declared Winter Parking Ban.
