
WORCESTER, MA — A four-alarm fire in Worcester sent black clouds of smoke billowing over buildings on Thursday night.
The fire broke out in a three-story home on Harrison Street. Worcester firefighters worked with hoses on the ground and from ladders to tamper the blaze. The department said four rescues were conducted by ladder.
Several firefighters were injured but all were released from the hospital within the night, according to the department.
Harrison Street was closed to traffic for most of the evening. The fire was put out by 9:30 p.m.
