Worcester Killing Stemmed From Vandalism Incident: Report
A 29-year-old Worcester man was stabbed and killed last week after he confronted another man who was slashing tires, according to police.

WORCESTER, MA — A Worcester man was killed in a stabbing last week along Cutler Street after he confronted another man who was slashing tires along the street, according to court records.
Josue Rios, 29, died early in the morning on June 30 after he was stabbed in the chest. Benjamin Willie, 20, was arrested on July 1, and has since been charged by the Worcester County District Attorney with murder.
According to MassLive, Willie called police in the hours after the stabbing to report what he had "murdered someone last night while walking home." Willie has been randomly slashing tires along Cutler Street, MassLive reported.

Willie, a Dorchester Street resident, was initially arrested and charged with assault and battery with a deadly weapon, but the Worcester DA later upgraded that charge to murder. Willie is being held in jail following a court appearance on Monday.
