Worcester Man 1 of 4 Charged With Receiving Stolen Car
The Worcester man was the only person over 18 in the group who was arrested.
BOSTON, MA- Massachusetts State Troopers arrested four people in what police said was a stolen motor vehicle on Friday afternoon after a chase on Route 93 southbound in Boston.
A state trooper saw the car come out of the tunnel on Route 93 south. According to police, a query revealed the vehicle had been stolen in Lynn on Tuesday. The Trooper temporarily lost the stolen car in heavy traffic.
A few minutes later another trooper spotted the car on Exit 18 but it refused to stop, beginning a chase, according to state police. The chase quickly ended when rush hour traffic stalled the stolen car near the Massachusetts Avenue Connector, according to state police. During the chase the stolen car hit a state police cruiser but no injuries were reported.
Four young people were arrested Including Ivan Cruz-Ortega 20, of Worcester, Camilo Ruiz-Escobar, 18, of Chelsea, Cindy Martinez, 18, of Chelsea and a 16-year-old girl from Chelsea.
All four are being charged with receiving a stolen vehicle.
