Worcester Man Arrested on Child Porn Charges

A task force found files of child pornography on a Worcester man's computer.

WORCESTER, MA — A Worcester man faces child pornography charges after a task force searched and found material on his home computer.

On Wednesday, Feb. 10, around 6:10 p.m., members of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) which include Worcester Police Detectives, Massachusetts State Police Computer Crimes Unit, FBI and Homeland Security, searched 7 Shirley St after an investigation.

Investigators examined several computers and memory devices, and members of the task force found files containing child pornography.

As a result of the investigation, Rendy Chea, 28, of 7 Shirley St, Worcester, was charged with Possession of Child Pornography and Distribution of Child Pornography.

The ICAC Task Force was created to help Federal, State and local law enforcement agencies enhance their investigative responses to offenders who use the Internet, online communication systems, or computer technology to sexually exploit children.
