The 46-year-old was also driving with a suspended license, according to Worcester police.

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester police arrested a local man on Thursday night after he was caught driving a stolen car on a suspended license.

Worcester officers encountered Jose Miranda, 46, at around 9 p.m. Thursday along North Ashland near Dix Street. The officers ran the car's information, discovering it had been recently stolen off of Dewey Street.

When pulled over, Miranda couldn't explain how he got the vehicle, police said. He was arrested on charges of receiving a stolen car, driving with a suspended license, and using a car without authority.

Miranda was arraigned at Worcester District Court and ordered held in jail on $1,000 bail, according to the clerk's office.
