WORCESTER, MA — A Worcester man is facing multiple charges stemming from a September shooting in Roxbury that left at least one person wounded, although police were never able to find the victim.
The 39-year-old was ordered held without bail this week after he was arraigned on charges of illegal possession of a gun, and possessing a large-capacity magazine, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office.
According to officials, the shooting took place Sept. 15 near 7:30 p.m. along Georgia Street. Boston police who responded to the scene found blood drops on the ground, but no victim. Police also found a wallet belonging to the Worcester man at the scene, and later found a gun tossed in a yard along Hartwell Street.
Surveillance video from near the shooting showed four men fighting along the street. Police also recovered video of a man sitting on a wall in the yard where the gun was found.
The Worcester man will remain in jail at least until a dangerousness hearing on Oct. 17.
