Worcester Man Charged With Murder After Stabbing Woman: Police

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester police charged a man with murder after a woman was stabbed to death on Saturday morning. The stabbing occurred at 9:10 a.m. on County Street.

Officers were flagged down by witnesses who said there had been a stabbing inside the County Street home, according to police. Officers found a man named Antonio Lucas, 43, who lives in the home leaving the property. They detained him and went inside and found a woman who had been stabbed.

Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene. The Detective Bureau and Crime Scene Unit were called to investigate. Detectives developed probable cause that Lucas had stabbed the woman, whom he had previously dated.

Lucas was placed under arrest and charged with murder.
