Worcester Man Charged With Murder In Russell Street Shooting
The victim of he shooting was found in a parked car with several gunshot wounds.
WORCESTER, MA — Worcester police arrested and charged Devon Rivera, 26, with the shooting of a man on Russell Street earlier in the week. Rivera is facing several charges including murder.
Police found a man in a parked car on Monday night on Russell Street who had been shot several times. Police said he was unresponsive when they arrived. He was transported to the hospital but soon after arriving, the man died.
On Tuesday, police arrested Rivera in connection with the shooting. Rivera was charged with charged with Murder, Armed Assault with intent to Kill, Assault and Battery by Gun, Possession of a Firearm during a Felony, Unlawfully Carrying a Firearm, Unlawfully Carrying a Loaded Firearm, Armed Robbery, Possession of Ammunition without an FID, Possession of a Firearm during a Felony and Possession of a Class A Substance.
