Worcester Man Charged With Running 'Dispatch-Style Heroin Distribution Network"

Raina Estrella owns Fly Diamond Boutique on Grafton Street.

WORCESTER, MA — A Worcester man, who detectives believe was running a dispatch-style heroin distribution network, was held on $50,000 bail on Thursday in Worcester Central District Court, said Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.

Raini Estrella, 21, Beaconsfield Road, was arrested and charged with possession of a Class A substance (heroin) with intent to distribute; three counts of distribution of a Class A substance (heroin); possession of a firearm without a FID card; possession of ammunition without a FID card; and improper storage of a firearm. He pleaded not guilty. Estrella's bail was set at $50,000, with his case continued to Tuesday when he faces a dangerousness hearing on a separate heroin trafficking case.

“While we work hard with the community to combat the opioid addiction epidemic, it remains important to arrest and prosecute drug dealers,” Early said in a statement. “This arrest makes our streets safer.”
As part of the investigation, State Police Detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office obtained search warrants for Estrella’s home; his business, Fly Diamond Boutique at 329 Grafton St.; Apt. 2 at 24 Windham St.; and for his vehicles.

During the searches, detectives seized 24 knotted corner baggies containing a substance consistent with the appearance of heroin, a semi-automatic handgun, ammunition and $3,745 in cash.
