Worcester Man Dies After Being Hit By SUV On Lincoln Street
Police found the 61-year-old lying in the middle of the street when they got to the crash.
WORCESTER, MA — A 61-year-old Worcester man died after he was hit by an SUV on Tuesday night on Lincoln Street. The man has not yet been identified — police said he was rushed to the hospital that night for serious injuries but died in the hospital on Wednesday morning.
Police got a call about a pedestrian being hit at 8 p.m on Tuesday. When police got to the area, they said the man was lying in the middle of Lincoln Street with serious injuries. The man was hit by an SUV while walking west on the crosswalk with another person.
The driver of the SUV was not hurt and stayed at the scene to help the man who was hit, police said.
The crash is still under investigation.
