Worcester Man Dies After Maxwell Street Shooting
The victim was identified Saturday night by Worcester police. He was shot Friday morning at a home in the Vernon Hill area.

WORCESTER, MA — The 19-year-old man who was shot in the Vernon Hill neighborhood in Worcester on Friday has died, according to police. Brandon Dirsa was shot while sitting on the steps of his home.
Police responded to a home at 1 Maxwell St. on Friday at around 11:30 a.m. on a report of a shooting. Dirsa was taken to UMass Medical Center in serious condition. He died on Saturday.
Police canvassed the neighborhood with K9 dogs and searched for surveillance footage of the shooting. But as of Saturday night, police had not made any arrests.
