Worcester Man, Kindergarten Teacher Faces Child Porn Charges

The man was a kindergarten teacher in Holyoke Public Schools.

WORCESTER, MA — A Worcester man and former kindergarten teacher is facing a child pornography possession charge. Gregory Lisby, 40, was arrested on Thursday night in Northborough, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Lisby was a kindergarten teacher for the Holyoke Public Schools but resigned on Thursday.

Investigators were tipped off that Lisby had child pornography uploaded to his Microsoft OneDrive account and used a search warrant to review the account. Investigators found approximately 180 images and 15 videos of child pornography, according to the charging documents. The account was on both his iPad and cellphone.

The charging statute provides for a sentence of up to 20 years in prison, three years of supervised release and a fine of $250,000. Sentences are imposed by a federal district court judge based upon the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.
