Worcester Man Sentenced To 10-15 Years For Burglary Spree
The man was charged in a series of break-ins and burglaries in Worcester county in 2015.
WORCESTER, MA — A Worcester man was sentenced to 10-12 years in state prison on Tuesday after he was found guilty in May of charges in a series of break-ins and burglaries in homes in Worcester County in 2015.
Pedro D. Gomez was found guilty in the burglary spree. The Worcester County DA's office said Gomez was arrested on November 2015 in Shrewsbury following an investigation by police in Millbury, Shrewsbury, Sutton, Auburn and Worcester and the State Police Detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office.
Gomez became a person of interest to police after an alert homeowner in Millbury had noticed a car parked at the end of her driveway and reported it to authorities. The registration matched Mr. Gomez’s vehicle.
During the investigation police to attached a GPS unit to his car and track its movements and used Auburn Police Department's K9 officer to track him on foot.
Gojmez was found guilty of two counts of unarmed burglary, six counts of attempted unarmed burglary and one count of larceny from a building.
