Worcester Man Shot During Home Invasion

The shooting happened Sunday night at a home near the Patch Reservoir, according to Worcester police.

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester police are investigating a home invasion and shooting that left a city man seriously injured on Sunday night.

An armed person broke into a Patch Reservoir Drive home just after 10 p.m. Sunday, police said. The 29-year-old resident was shot once. Police described his wound as "serious."

Neighbors saw a single person running from the home after the break-in, according to WCVB.

Worcester police did not immediately announce any arrests, and said the incident was still under investigation Monday morning.
