Worcester Man On State's 'Most Wanted' List After Fatal Shooting
State police say Jeffrey Beltre-Rojas, 27, shot Luis Tiro-Romero in a Mount Pleasant Street home in 2020.

WORCESTER, MA — State police added a Worcester man to the agency's "most wanted" list this week. Jeffrey Beltre-Rojas is wanted in connection to the fatal shooting of a Worcester in July 2020.
According to police, Beltre-Rojas, 27, shot Luis Tiro-Romero multiple times inside a Mount Pleasant Street home in the Main South neighborhood last summer. Tiro-Romero was critically injured and died in a New York hospice earlier this year.
Beltre-Rojas is wanted on murder charges, according to state police.

Authorities have already charged two other men in connection to Tiro-Romero's killing. Jose Merced, 32, of Eames Street, and Anthony Negron, 26, of Camden, N.J., were both charged with murder earlier in 2021.

One other Worcester man is on the state's most-wanted list. Leopoldo Espinal is wanted on warrants for child rape and sexual assault, according to state police.
