Worcester Motorcyclist Died Attempting Wheelie: Police

The fatal accident happened Monday afternoon along Chandler Street east of Beaver Brook Park.

WORCESTER, MA — The 24-year-old motorcyclist who died after an accident on Veterans Day was trying to do a wheelie right before he crashed in the middle of a busy street, according to Worcester police.

The incident happened just before 5 p.m. on Monday near Chandler and Mason streets east of Beaver Brook Park. The motorcyclist crashed into the rear door of small sedan that was stopped in the road.

"The force of the impact caused the vehicle to rotate. The operator of the vehicle did not sustain any injuries," police said in a statement.

Police arrived to find the motorcyclist in the middle of the road. He was taken to a local hospital, where he died.
