Worcester NAACP Address New Zealand Attacks

"The Worcester Branch of the NAACP condemns this heinous act of terrorism and shares in New Zealand's grief."

WORCESTER, MA- The mass shootings at two mosques in New Zealand on Friday that killed 50 people and wounded 50 others has triggered an outpouring of solidarity from all corners of the world, including Worcester.

The Worcester Branch of the NAACP released a statement on Sunday about the tragic terror attack, offering support to the muslim community in Worcester.

The statement reads:

"The Worcester Branch of the NAACP condemns this heinous act of terrorism and shares in New Zealand’s grief. Our hearts and prayers go out to the family and friends who are victims of this tragedy. No one should be singled out for their faith, skin color, national origin, sexual orientation or immigration status. We must come together as one people to stop hate."
