Worcester Nonprofit Teams Up With Local Pizza Spot To Help Fight Hunger

A portion of every pizza sold will go toward the nonprofit.

WORCESTER, MA — Here's your chance to help fight hunger by eating pizza.

Rachel's Table Worcester is partnering with American Flatbread on Green Street to host a benefit night aimed at supporting hunger relief across Greater Worcester. On August 19, a portion of every pizza sold will go toward the nonprofit.

All purchases made will go toward the fundraiser, including online or delivery orders. That is $3.50 from a large pie and $1.75 from a small.

"Every order that night helps us rescue food and get it to people who need it most," said a spokesperson from Rachel's Table.

Rachel's Table gives out more than 6 hundred thousand lbs of food each year. The nonprofit serves more than 50 local shelters, pantries and meal programs.

"This event is more than a fundraiser," said a spokesperson. "It’s a chance for our community to come together over something as simple as a pizza and make a real difference.

The event is from 4 to 11 p.m.
