Worcester Officers Promoted In Ceremony at City Hall
Several promotions within the Worcester Police Department took place on Thursday.
WORCESTER, MA— The Worcester Police Department held a promotion ceremony at 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, at City Hall in the Levi Lincoln Chamber.
City Manager Edward M. Augustus Jr., Mayor Joseph M. Petty and Chief Steven M. Sargent presided over the ceremony, at which the officers take their oaths before family members and colleagues.
Officers promoted to the rank of Sergeant:
Officer Thomas Coakley, Officer Jason Gaumond and Officer Kevin Johanson
Sergeants promoted to the rank of Lieutenant:
Sgt. Christopher Murphy and Sgt. Paul Gaffney
Lieutenants promoted to rank of Captain:
Lt. Kenneth Davenport and Lt. Michael McKiernan
Captain promoted to Deputy Chief:
Capt. Paul Saucier
