Worcester Officials Break Ground On Polar Park

WORCESTER, MA — Officials broke ground on the new ballpark for the Boston Red Sox Triple-A affiliate. Polar Park is the new home of the club.

The club was originally located in Pawtucket, Rhode Island but decided to relocate to Worcester, Massachusetts. The first season of the game will be in 2021.

Local officials as well as the design team and executives from the Worcester Red Sox were in attendance for the groundbreaking. Plans are in place to build a $100 million ballpark on land once filled by Wyman-Gordon Co.
