Worcester Officials Endorse Elizabeth Warren Before Super Tuesday
U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren's campaign released a list of over 100 endorsements as U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders aims to win Massachusetts.

WORCESTER, MA — U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren's presidential campaign on Tuesday released a long list of Massachusetts elected officials who have endorsed her, including several Worcester city officials and lawmakers.
This comes as presidential rival U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders makes a play for Massachusetts on Super Tuesday — he's holding rallies in Springfield and Boston on Friday and Saturday, and his campaign is hosting a four-day "Berniepalooza" event in Worcester starting Friday. Sanders' campaign has identified Worcester County as strategically important to winning a share of the state's 114 delegates.
Sanders lost the Massachusetts primary in 2016 to Hillary Clinton, but he did carry Worcester County that year. Warren did not endorse either candidate ahead of the 2016 Massachusetts primary.
In Worcester, Mayor Joe Petty and Councilors Khrystian King, Sarai Rivera, and Candy Mero-Carlson are all supporting Warren. At the state level, state Reps. David LeBouef, Mary Keefe, and Dan Donohue are behind her, as is state Sen. Harriette Chandler. U.S. Rep. Jim McGovern and School Committe member Tracy O'Connell Novick have also endorsed.
You can wait until March 3 to vote for a Democratic presidential nominee on primary day. But Worcester — and every other town and city in the state — is holding early voting this week.
