Worcester PD Swears In 7 New Officers

The seven new officers will soon start foot patrols around the city before being paired with an experienced officer.

WORCESTER, MA- The Worcester Police Department has seven new officers in it's ranks.

The officers were sworn in Tuesday in the Levi Lincoln Chamber at City Hall. Each new officer's family member pinned them during the ceremony.

The seven new officers will start out on foot patrols in different parts of the city. Supervisors will then pair the rookie officers with experienced officers to patrol city neighborhoods. Throughout the training program the new officers will have opportunities to learn through motor patrols.

The new officers are listed below:

Police Officer Matthew Anderson

Police Officer Andrei Cimpan

Police Officer James Conway, Jr.

Police Officer Hungria Ortiz

Police Officer Robert Ouimet

Police Officer Irving Reyes-Rosario

Police Officer William Warnken
