Worcester Planning Board Green Lights 2 Recreational Pot Shops

These two are the second and third sites to get a special permit adult-use marijuana retail sales.

WORCESTER, MA — Two more proposed recreational marijuana shops got the green light from Worcester Planning Board on Wednesday. The shops would be located at 74 Grafton St. and 65 Pullman St. One would sell only recreational marijuana while the other would co-locate with a medical marijuana dispensary that is already in place.

The shops aren't cleared to open for business just yet — they still need to get approval from the Cannabis Control Commission and the License Commission. So far, only one business has passed all the hurdles and is set to open in the city.

Good Chemistry will be Worcester's first recreational marijuana shop and is set to open on May 1.

TDMA LLC plans to open a recreational marijuana store at 74 Grafton St. and the Botanist is planning to co-locate an adult-marijuana retail store at a medical marijuana dispensary it owns at 65 Pullman St.
