Worcester Police Charge Man With Selling Crack

Officers from the Neighborhood Response Team watched a drug deal happen and arrested the man selling.

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester police arrested a man on Wednesday afternoon after they said they watched him conduct a drug deal in a Stop a& Shop parking lot. The man, Rodney Hall, 34, is facing several drug charges.

Officers from the Neighborhood Response Team were on patrol near Lincoln Plaza when they saw a woman, who they were familiar with, wandering near the Stop & Shop parking lot, according to police.

The woman hopped into Hall's car and was immediately dropped off on Lincoln Street, police said. When she walked away she looked like she was holding something in her fist and police said Hall was counting out cash in his car.

When police stopped the woman, they found crack cocaine in her hand. Other officers stopped Hall's car and found phones money and a large amount of crack cocaine, police said.

Hall was charged with Trafficking in a Class B Substance 18-36 grams and Distribution of a Class B Substance (Crack Cocaine). He will be arraigned in Worcester District Court.
