WORCESTER, MA — The Worcester Police Department is hosting a ceremony this weekend to honor veterans. The public is invited to the ceremony in which 5,000 U.S. flags will be placed on veteran graves for Memorial Day.

The event is Saturday at 8 a.m. at the Notre Dame Cemetery at 162 Webster St. Flags will also be placed at the Old Swedish Cemetery at 152 Webster St.
