Worcester Police Make Arrest After Shrewsbury Street Stabbing

A 37-year-old man was stabbed during a fight Sunday night at a shopping plaza along Shrewsbury Street.

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester police have charged a Warren man following a stabbing Sunday night at a shopping plaza along Shrewsbury Street.

Police went to the plaza at 225 Shrewsbury near 7:30 p.m. and found a 37-year-old man there with stab wounds. He was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Police determined that Adam Gagnon had stabbed the victim during a fight. He was found and arrested near the intersection of East Central and Shrewsbury streets, police said. Gagnon was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
