WORCESTER, MA — Worcester police are now searching for a 23-year-old local man in connection to an October killing in the Burncoat neighborhood. Police on Friday said they had issued a warrant for the arrest of Worcester resident Kelvin Verde on a single murder charge. Police warned Verde is likely armed and dangerous. Just after 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 24, Andrew Barley, 28, was found inside a Burncoat Street home. The shooting triggered a lockdown at nearby schools. Worcester police have already arrested Berny Calderon Jr., 25, of Webster, in connection to the slaying.
