WORCESTER, MA — Worcester police are now searching for a 23-year-old local man in connection to an October killing in the Burncoat neighborhood.

Police on Friday said they had issued a warrant for the arrest of Worcester resident Kelvin Verde on a single murder charge. Police warned Verde is likely armed and dangerous.

Just after 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 24, Andrew Barley, 28, was found inside a Burncoat Street home. The shooting triggered a lockdown at nearby schools.

Worcester police have already arrested Berny Calderon Jr., 25, of Webster, in connection to the slaying. He has been charged with murder, home invasion and assault and battery.
