Worcester Public HS To Participate in MA College Application Celebration Initiative

The goal is for all 1,600 grade 12 students to submit at least one college application on MCAC Day.

From the Worcester Public Schools: The Worcester Public Schools would like to cordially invite you to cover an upcoming district wide event. EVERY Worcester Public High School will participate in the Massachusetts College Application Celebration Initiative (MCAC) beginning December 12, 2016. MCAC is sponsored by the American Council on Education (ACE).

The Worcester Public Schools goal is for all 1,600 grade 12 students to submit at least one college application on MCAC Day. Qualified students will have opportunities to interview with college representatives and receive on the spot acceptances and/or scholarships. The following colleges/universities have confirmed their participation in the district wide event: American International College, Anna Maria College,

Assumption College, Bay State College, Becker College, Fitchburg State University, Nichols College, Quinsigamond Community College, Rhode Island College, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, Western New England University, Westfield State University, and Worcester State University.

The MCAC dates and times for each high school are as follows:

  • 12/13 North High School 7:20 AM – 1:43 PM
  • 12/14 Worcester Technical High School 8:00 AM – 10:15 AM
  • 12/15 Burncoat High School 7:20 AM – 1:43 PM
  • 12/16 Doherty Memorial High School 7:20 AM – 1:43 PM
  • 12/19 Claremont Academy 8:00 AM – 12:15 PM
  • 12/19 University Park Campus School 8:00 AM – 11:30 PM
  • 12/20 Gerald Creamer Center and St. Casmir’s –Please contact WPS for times
  • 12/20 South High Community School 7:20 AM – 1:43 PM
  • 12/21 Worcester Technical High School 8:00 AM – 10:15 AM
