Worcester Public Library To Host Second Community Block Party

Reptiles, a magic show, free ice cream, a book sale, music and more will mark the Saturday event.

WORCESTER, MA — There will be more to do than there are pages in any Leon Uris novel.

The Worcester Public Library will hold its second annual community block party on Saturday, featuring food trucks, music, free face painting, a magic show, reptile exhibit and a lot more.

The Downtown Worcester Business Improvement District will also provide 100 ice cream treats. Find the BID tent at the event to get a coupon for any single treat from the Jerry's Ice Cream Truck.

Join WPL for OUR SECOND ANNUAL Community Block Party for all ages on Saturday, August 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.! The event will include free FUN activities and entertainment, plus food trucks and vendors. We hope to see you there!

Free performances and programs include DJ Chuck Chillin, Wicked Good Henna, Face Painting by Face Escape, East Coast Entertainment Photo Booth, Magic Fred's Magic Show, Curious Creatures Reptile Exhibit, and inflatable slide/basketball. There will also be a Friends book sale!

Food trucks for purchase of food include Say Cheese Food Truck, Sabor Latino, The Dogfather, Shabby Gourmet, Jerry’s Ice Cream & Jerry’s Novelty truck, and Minuteman Kettle Corn.

We'll also have over 60 vendors including crafts, non-profits, kids programs, and so much more! Parking is free during the block party!

Vendors include Worcester JCC, Artist Shawn Paul, Artist Cathy Weaver, Jackson’s Creative, Elder Services, Arts Worcester, New Start Brain Injury Community Center, Hanover Theatre, Mass Housing, CENTRO, Ascentria Health Care, Ascentria Foster Care, The Worc Shop, Spiritually Fabulous, REC Farmers Market, Center for Living and Working, The Learning Hub, Nikkis Rabbit Hole, K Sense Co., The Tragic Whale, Unique Boutique, Bangle Girl, Downtown Worcester Business Improvement District, Living Well Adult Day Health/Sevita Health, CARD – Center for Autism & Related Disorders, All in a Cord, Eternal Luminescence, WPI, Eventbrite, Wild Roots, Mass Pirates, Worcester Family Partnership, and Worcester Head Start.
