Worcester Public Works Commissioner Paul Moosey Dies
Moosey, 63, died this week after working in city government for almost four decades.

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester's Public Works and Parks director has died, the city manager announced Friday afternoon.
City Manager Edward Augustus Jr. said in a statement that Commissioner Paul Moosey had served with the city for the past 36 years. He has been commissioner since 2014 after the retirement of Bob Moylan.
Moosey, 63, a Sturbridge resident, saw Worcester through countless snow storms, and his department was in the midst of the city's second serious drought in three years. City officials did not immediately give details about the circumstances of Moosey's death.
Here's Augustus' full statement on Moosey's passing:
"I extend my deepest condolences and sympathies to the family of Paul Moosey — his wife Cindi and three siblings — in their time of mourning. His passing is heartbreaking to me both personally and professionally. It is a tremendous loss for the city, which he served faithfully for 36 years. I am honored to have worked with Paul the past seven years in his role as Commissioner of Public Works, and I will miss him deeply as both a friend and colleague, as will his extended family in the Department of Public Works and Parks."
