Man Used 'Suspicious Device' In Worcester Bank Robbery: Police

The Friday incident closed Park Avenue while police investigated what the device was.

WORCESTER, MA — A man was arrested Friday in Worcester after attempting to rob a bank with a "suspicious device," according to police.

The incident happened around noon at the TD Bank location at 295 Park Ave. Worcester police closed the main street between Pleasant and Chandler street to investigate the device, diverting road and pedestrian traffic from the area.

Around 1:15 p.m., police reopened the roadway and reported that they had taken one person into custody.
