Worcester Public Schools is hosting a full-day tripleheader featuring some of the city's top teams.

WORCESTER — Polar Park will turn into a hub of local high school baseball on Monday as Worcester Public Schools hosts a full-day tripleheader featuring some of the city’s top teams.

The WPS Tripleheader event will feature three matchups at the home of the Worcester Red Sox, beginning at 2:30 p.m. with North High School facing Worcester Technical High School.

At 5 p.m., Burncoat High School will take on Doherty Memorial High School, followed by the nightcap at 7:30 p.m. between South High Community School and Bartlett High School.

Organizers say the event is designed to showcase some of the best local talent in our community. It also gives families and fans a chance to experience games inside a professional ballpark setting.

Admission is set to be affordable, with students able to attend free of charge with a valid school ID and adult tickets priced at $5. Tickets for adults can be purchased here.

Polar Park, which opened in 2021 as the home of the Worcester Red Sox, has increasingly been used for community events in addition to Minor League Baseball games, including school tournaments, civic gatherings and special programming throughout the year.
