Worcester Teen Dies After Millbury Street Shooting
The 17-year-old was shot Wednesday evening. Police have not made any arrests.

WORCESTER, MA — A teenager shot along Millbury Street in Worcester died from his injuries, Worcester police reported Thursday morning.
The 17-year-old was shot just after 6 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Millbury and Lafeyette streets, about two blocks south of Kelley Square. The teen was treated at the scene and taken to a hospital.
Worcester police did not immediately announce any arrests related to the shooting.
The teen's death was the fourth homicide in Worcester so far in 2022.
In late March, Deondre Matthews, 27, was shot and killed at the Hurricane Betty's strip club along Southbridge Street. A 32-year-old man was also wounded in the shooting.
Worcester's first homicide of 2022 happened on Jan. 8 when a 29-year-old man died after he was wounded in a Webster Square-area shooting on Christmas Day in 2021. Jazmin Rosario, 17, was shot and killed on Jan. 15 at the Big Y along Mayfield Street.
