Worcester Teen Part Of Group Honored As Heroes At Celtics Game
The teen was among a group of 15 who were honored at Celtics game for their work with Project 351.
BOSTON, MA —One teen from Worcester was among a group of 15 who were honored as "heroes among us" at the last home game of the Celtic's season. The group of teens were Alumni Leadership Council members from the the nonprofit Project 351.
Project 351 is a nonprofit with a goal of building a movement of youth-led service that transforms communities, elevates kindness, and advances opportunity. The 15 teens honored by the Celtics were chosen for training more than 350 middle school students on issues of race and bias, teaching skills and courage to positively intervene as an upstander and peacemaker and fostering the resolve of young people for greater unity and inclusion.
Madelyn Rich of Worcester was one of the teens honored.
The Heroes Among Us Award is presented to an individual or individuals who, through their unique commitment and humanitarian spirit, have made exceptional and lasting contributions to our community.
