WORCESTER, MA — An 18-year-old woman was found shot along Valley View Lane Thursday night. Police responded to an apartment building at around 11 p.m. Thursday after a call about a person wounded by gunfire. Inside an apartment, officers found the woman injured. She was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said. Police did not immediately announce any arrests connected to the shooting. Worcester has seen <a href="https://patch.com/massachusetts/worcester/shooting-reported-worcesters-main-south-neighborhood" target="_blank" rel="noopener">an increase in shootings</a> in recent weeks. A deadly shooting on Monday morning claimed a 31-year-old Boston man, but there have been more than a dozen other shootings since the July 4 weekend, according to police.
