Worcester's 2022 'Fitness In The Parks' Series Begins At Bell Hill

Basketball, Zumba, self-defense and more will be taught all summer in parks across Worcester.

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester is kicking off a summer of free fitness programs that will take place at different parks across the city through September.

The Fitness in the Parks series will begin June 15 at Bell Hill Park, 196 Belmont St., with classes on basketball skills. Each weekday will feature new activities at parks across the city, including classes in Zumba, salsa dancing, football and self-defense.

This is Worcester's third year hosting the fitness series. The free classes are sponsored by the Blue Cross Blue Shield Foundation, the YWCA Central Massachusetts, the Latino Education Institute, and UMass Chan Medical School.
