WORCESTER, MA — Worcester's next adult cannabis store is eyeing a November opening date, according to the company.

Bud's Goods & Provisions will open in a space at 64 West Boylston Street on Nov. 1, the company's attorney told the Worcester License Commission last week. The store is still waiting on its final Cannabis Control Commission inspection, which is expected in October.

Bud's will be the third new recreational cannabis shop to open in Worcester over the last few months. Mission Dispensaries, 640 Lincoln St., opened on Sept. 9, and Diem Cannabis opened in June in a former automotive garage at 74 Grafton St.

The License Commission has granted Bud's permission to open with just one police officer detailed to the store, a change from the three officers initially requested to staff the opening. In exchange, Bud's will sell its products online only for the first five days with pickup at the store. The need for more officers will be determined as time moves on, according to the decision.
