Worcester's South High Will Compete In High School Quiz Show

WORCESTER, MA —Worcester South High School will be one of 16 teams from around the state to compete in season 11 of WGBH's "High School Quiz Show." But unlike the other schools in the tournament, South High doesn't know yet which team it will face in the first round.

South High will play the wild card team, which will be decided in a match between Weston and Tantasqua Regional high schools on Feb. 8. South High will face off against the wild card team on Feb. 22.

If South High wins, the team will go on to compete against either Arlington or Acton-Boxborough in the second round.

In season 10, South High defeated Mystic Valley High School in the first round, but lost in the second round to Boston Latin. The first round with South High vs. the wild card airs on Feb. 22 at 6 p.m. on WGBH.
