WPD's Gang Unit Seizes Numerous Bags of Heroin, Ammunition and Cash
Two from New York and one from Worcester were arrested on drug and ammunition possession charges.

WORCESTER, MA — Three men are facing drug and ammunition charges after Worcester PD's Gang Unit seized heroin, cash and ten rounds from a Worcester apartment.
On Friday, April 1, around 5:15 p.m. members of the Worcester police gang unit searched 7 Bluff Street, Apt #1.
When officers went in to the apartment, a man later identified as William Galarzo of Worcester ran out the back. An officer behind the building ordered him to stop and he ignored it, but police were able to apprehend him. Galarzo was in possession of 14 bags of heroin.
During a search of the apartment, officers seized numerous bags of heroin, ten rounds of ammunition, packaging material and $1,413 cash.
The following were arrested as a result of the investigation:
Juan Cortorreal, 30, of 189 West Street, Apt 565, Manhattan, NY, was charged with Trafficking in Heroin 18-36 Grams, Possession of Class B Substance, and Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card.
Ricardo Garcia-Pena, 27, of 1411 Jersey Avenue, Bronx, NY, was charged with Trafficking in Heroin 18-36 Grams, Possession of Class B Substance, and Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card.
William Galarzo, 39, of 52 Queen Street, Apt 1, Worcester, was charged with Trafficking in Heroin 18-36 Grams, Possession of Class B Substance, and Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card.
