WORCESTER, MA — A semitrailer crashed along I-290 in Worcester on Friday afternoon, sending the driver to the hospital and spilling fuel into Lake Quinsigamond.
State police reported the crash near 2 p.m. in the westbound lanes. It was just one of several serious collisions across the state Friday amid an unusual late-October snowstorm.
The I-290 crash was causing long delays. There was so much traffic, paramedics could not reach the semi driver, so troopers took him to the hospital in a cruiser.
