Young Brother, Sister Killed, 4 Others Injured In Horrific Crash

A 9-year-old boy and 7-year-old girl were killed and their two other siblings were hospitalized, along with others, in a Ludlow crash.

LUDLOW, MA — A young brother and sister died after a crash in which two of their other siblings and others were injured, officials said.

Jadyn Lamas, 9, and Natalya Lamas, 7, of Ludlow, were killed in the three-vehicle crash involving a tanker truck at an intersection Wednesday afternoon, the Hampden District Attorney's Office said.

The four children were being driven by their father in a Dodge Durango that apparently lost control and crossed over to the other side of Shawiningan Drive, crashing into a Ford tanker truck. The Durango continued on "for a significant distance" and crashed into a Dodge Caravan, the DA's Office said.

All four children were transported to Baystate Medical Center. The driver and passenger of the Caravan were also taken to Baystate Medical Center with serious injuries.

There is no word on whether the father suffered injuries.

The driver of the tanker truck was uninjured.

The crash is being investigated.
