5 Things You Should Know Today: August 25

Here's what's happening around town today, Thursday, August 25.

1.  will hold a meeting at 7pm at the Wrentham Town Hall.

2. The King Philip Middle School will be open today for  from 8am to 2pm to walk through the building with a parent.  

3. All players interested in playing for the 2011  team must attend tryouts today and tomorrow from 8am to 12pm at Rice Fields.

4. The  will hold a several activities today:

  • A special  for children ages 3 ½ -K will be held this morning from 10:30am to 11:15am. Come join the fun as we share stories, songs, poems and parachute play.  Registration is required. Call 384-5440 x21 or stop in the Children’s Dept and see Miss Liz.
  • The Friends of Fiske Library will hold a special free screening of the Film tonight at 6pm at the Library. "Soul Surfer" is the true story of Bethany Hamilton who lost her arm in a shark attack but overcame all odds to again become a champion surfer. The film is Rated PG and is 106 minutes long. It is not suitable for children under age 8.  Advance sign-up and ticket for this movie is required. Adults need tickets as well.
