5 Things You Should Know Today: August 8
Here's what's happening around town today, Monday, August 8.

2. The Senior Center will hold a session at 2:30pm. The class costs $2 per session, and those interested can sign up at the center's front desk.
3. It's hard to believe that summer is passing us by and that Sweatt Beach will only be open for a few more weeks. The beach and snack bar will be open today from 10am to 4pm. Day passes can be purchased for only $6 adult, $3 children. Sweatt Beach is located on Woolford Road, off Elysium Street and is staffed by lifeguards. 4. The has a new collection of board games purchased by funds from the Friends of the Fiske. Teens are invtited to stop in to play Battleship, Monopoly,Clue Card Games, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Chess, Scrabble, Game of Life and more. Stop by and sign these games out at the front desk and Play in the Young Adult/Homework Center Room.
